Overview

This guide explains how to restock inventory.

You can re-stock inventory in two different ways depending on whether you start from the Inventory page or from the Create PO menu.


Option 1. Re-stock from Inventory Page

  • When you start a PO from the Inventory page, the system automatically marks it as an Inventory Order.

  • This means:

    • The PO is locked to inventory replenishment.

    • Items ordered will update stock levels once received.

    • The order is not tied to any specific project.




Option 2: Re-stock from Create PO


1. Go to Create PO.


2. Attach quote or manually add purchase order items.


3. Enter Order Name and Check Inventory Box



 Check the "Inventory Order" box (very important!)

  • If checked → the PO is tied to inventory replenishment.

  • If not checked → the PO will be tied to a specific project instead.


4. Continue to fill out purchase order form.



 Key Difference

  • From Inventory page → Always an Inventory Order (locked, cannot be changed).

  • From Create PO menu → You choose whether it’s Inventory Order or Project Order.
